Summer sesion over, World Cup and more
Supposly after finishing summer session B I was going to have more time and exciting thing will happen that deserve to be written into the blog... well... it turns out that not everything was as I expected and I've found myself busy with some thing during this days.
The main thing going on here (well, not here, it really is going on all the way in Germany), is the World Cup, and as all the other 12'999.999 ecuadorians around the world, I'm more than delighted with the game our team has been playing so far, and all the joy that it had brought to a country that have not had much to rejoice during the last few years. For many people it might be another sport, if a team wins or lose makes little difference. For people back in my country football (real football, played with the feet) is more than just a sport, when our team plays is a team for the country to be united, the players show the very self of the people itself, and represent a motivation for a whole country. So far, the team has gone far, made history already qualifying to the next round, but the challege does not end there. Sunday is a big game agains England and I'm sure they will give their best to set our colors on the top. VAMOS ECUADOR!
Besides following the World Cup, I've also found myself a bit busy working on my research project, I have to use as much time as I can during the summer to get some work done for that as for next semester I might be swamped in class work again :-S
The other big thing that had happened this week was the awaited moment of getting my camera :) a got an Olympus Evolt E500, a Digital SLR. It's only two days that I've had it and I'm already impressed with how much difference is there between this one and my old Fujifilm Finpix S5000 (it's a great entry level camera as well). Now I only have to go out with it around and start shooting some nice pictures :-)
