Apologies

I want to ask for apologies to all my frequent readers, if there are any, for the lack of post during this year. A combination of lack of time and laziness have been the main reason for my absence in this media. But well, in case you were wondering about me, I'm still alive and I might get some pictures and more posts in the near future.

In the mean time, here is a picture from new year's eve in Ecuador, and some traditional fireworks. These devices are called "voladores" (fliers) , they have to be launched from an empty bottle and ignited with a cigarette. There's one volador for each month (total of 12) as a way to welcome the new year to come. Once in the air there's only an explosion (or three for some).
